In a shocking turn of events, it was revealed earlier this week that the head of the Green Eagles was apprehended at the Hamburg Airport in Germany by authorities while making his way to discuss a potential contract extension with his head coach.

After the 54-year-old tactician had not reported for the commencement of pre-season training, amid rumours of being offered jobs in Saudi Arabia, Boudrika had taken it upon himself to travel to the former Orlando Pirates manager in his native country to try and convince him to stay.

That has, however, not gone according to plan as the 41-year-old executive is now being detained and is allegedly waiting extradition back to Morocco.

The situation has seemingly dampened the mood for Raja, who are coming off a historic season in the Botola Pro Inwi as they managed to win the league and Throne Cup without suffering a single defeat.

It seems as though the situation could worsen for the north African giants on the managerial front as well, because according to Kooora, Zinnbauer is likely to be leaving.

The same report states that the Schwandorf native feels bad about indirectly causing the arrest of Boudrika, but he is also said to be unhappy about a number of other situations as well.

The German is believed to be upset by the issues between the players and management, with players owed salaries amounting to $3 million (R54.9 million) and is also displeased with the departures of Ismail Mokadem and Mohamed Al Makahasi.
