The Red Castle faithful have expressed extreme disappointment with Ait-Menna and some recent decisions made by the club's management toward the end of the previous season, and leading up to the FIFA Club World Cup.
Wydad were beaten in all three games at the Club World Cup, losing 2-0 to Manchester City, 4-1 to Juventus, and 2-1 to Al Ain.
According to Arab publication Al Mashhad, fans are reportedly outraged with the club's performance at the Club World Cup, and the fans have called on Ait-Menna to resign with immediate effect.
The Wydad faithful have held him responsible for the club's recent failures and mismanagement, notably the way the club dealt with the departure of former coach Rulani Mokwena with just three games left of the season.
The club's sporting director, Amine Benhachem, took over as interim coach but failed to implement strong tactics on the field, leading to further poor performances.
There also remains a lot of uncertainty around the future of many players. The fans expressed anger toward Ait-Menna for failing to address the contract situation of players such as Jamal Harkass, Abdelmounaim Boutouil, Fahad Moffi and Thembinkosi Lorch, who shone during his loan spell last season.
