Antalyaspor Partners With Motsepe League Side Clarewood JPM FC

In an exciting announcement made on Thursday, Turkish club Antalyaspor revealed they have partnered with ABC Motsepe League side Clarewood JPM FC in what they described as a "first in their history".

Clarewood, who compete in the Motsepe League, will undergo a name and logo change after president Justin Paulsen, accompanied by his wife Chane Paulsen, technical advisor Bevan Dicks and general manager Bevan Fransch, struck a collaboration deal with Super Lig side Antalyaspor this week.

In a statement issued on the Turkish club's website as well as their social media accounts, Antalyaspor stated that the partnership was signed and sealed in Turkey by president Aziz Cetin and Paulsen.

"A first in the history of our Antalyaspor. Our red-white community now has a team in South Africa to compete on green fields with the name and logo of Antalyaspor," the statement read. 

"Justin Paulsen, president of Clarewood JPM FC Club in Cape Town, South Africa, president's wife Chanae Paulsen, technical consultant Bevan Dicks and general manager Bevan Fransch came to Antalya to visit our club. The president of the two clubs made the historic signature at Atilla Vehbi Guest Facilities.

"Clarewood JPM FC staffs with our President Av. Aziz Cetin, President Advisor Ferda Ramanli and International Relations and Strategic Planning Department Co-ordinator Erdem Erdal, Atilla Vehbi Guest in Yesilbayir and Ha in the city center San Subasi Facilities visited Corendon Airlines Park Stadium, where our professional football team played games.

"Our president Av. Aziz Cetin informed our guests about the history of our club, our sporting branches and activities outside of professional football, as well as our facilities.

"Our guests met our Football Manager Nuri Sahin at Block A, where they went for the signing ceremony at Atilla Vehbi Guest Facilities. Our President Av. Aziz Cetin and Clarewood JPM FC President Justin Paulsen have initiated co-operation between the two clubs with the protocol they signed.

"Clarewood JPM FC have changed their name to Cape Town Antalyaspor in accordance with the in-signed protocol. Clarewood JPM FC has undergone changes to their logo to suit their new name.

"Our president Av. Aziz Cetin presented our guests with Antalyaspor jerseys with their names written on them after the signing ceremony."

It has been explained to Soccer Laduma that the collaboration will be beneficial for both parties, and will include the opportunity for coaches from Antalyaspor to travel to South Africa for training camps, something that will serve to develop and improve local standards.

The deal was facilitated by Dicks, who was key in Clarewood's partnering with Antalyaspor due to his excellent relationship with the Turkish club. Clarewood are currently vying for a spot in this season's Nedbank Cup after winning all four of their qualification games, needing one more victory to book their spot among the final 32.
