The Saudi Pro League has scooped up many of the world's best players this off-season, having been able to lure them to the Gulf state largely through the massive wages on offer.
Among the biggest names to have arrived in the Middle East in the past month is Sadio Mane.
The reigning CAF Men's Player of the Year recently bid farewell to Bayern Munich and was welcomed to Al Nassr, and according to Africa Facts Zone, the Knights of Najd are paying him a handsome £661 000 (R15.8 million) a week, making him the best-paid African player in world football.

Another former Africa Cup of Nations winner and African Player of the Year is right behind the Senegalese in the ranking, namely Riyad Mahrez.
The Algerian recently called time on his five-year stint with Manchester City to play in the Saudi top flight with Al Ahli, where he will be earning £481 000 (R11.5 million) a week.
Of the five highest-paid players from the second biggest continent in the world, only one of them is not playing in the Gulf today, and that is Mohamed Salah.
At the end of the 2021/22 season, Liverpool made the Egyptian winger the highest-paid player in their history when they gave him a new three-year contract that would see him earn £350 000 (R8.3 million) a week.
There have been rumours the 31-year-old is of serious interest to Saudi clubs as well, but he has, so far, decided to stay put in Anfield.
Another player who looks to be staying put in the Premier League is Thomas Partey.
Ghana's linchpin is among the highest earners at Arsenal, and is said to be taking home £200 000 (R4.7 million) a week, placing him seventh on the list of the highest-paid African footballers in the world.
