Tanzania will face South Africa on Friday evening at the Peter Mokaba Stadium, one day before both teams are set to play a Cosafa Cup match, where Tanzania was invited as a guest.
Coach Morocco said the friendly would be taken seriously as it serves as important preparation for the upcoming CHAN and Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), according to The Citizen.
"These are big matches for us, especially the one against South Africa, who are currently performing really well," Morocco said.
He continued: "But we also have a strong team, so it's a good opportunity to see how we measure up before the CHAN."
Morocco, who also serves as the Zanzibar head coach, said Tanzanian fans had reason to be optimistic ahead of the CHAN.
"It's encouraging to get opportunities like these," he said. "We've become more competitive, and that's what Tanzanians should expect - positive results and good performances in both the friendly and the COSAFA games."
