According to Maspero, South Africa have raised its hand to welcome the entire continent for the 24th annual CAF Awards.
Last year's edition was held in Marrakech, Morocco, but it could be set to be held on the other side of Africa, with the 2010 FIFA World Cup hosts said to be in the running.
South Africa is, however, not alone in their willingness to have the prestigious award ceremony held in their country, with it believed the likes of Egypt, Senegal, Nigeria, Ghana and Morocco again are all also keen on having the prize-giving ceremony in their respective nations.
