Riveiro is expected to be announced as Al Ahly's new manager following his early exit from Orlando Pirates.
Previous reports have indicated that Riveiro will bring some backroom staff members from previous clubs including fitness coach Carlos Nodar Paz and Sergio Almenara as head of scouting. The Spaniard also reportedly looked at Valencia goalkeeping coach Marcos Abad.
According to Youm7, Al Ahly officials are set to meet with Riveiro on Friday to finalise outstanding issues such as his final coaching team. The club reportedly wants to see greater Egyptian representation on the bench, but the Spaniard insisted on just one.
The meeting is also expected to discuss Riveiro's vision with the club including his knowledge and operational frameworks, particularly on communication between the management team and club directors.
Al Ahly has completed the terms with Riveiro and is expected to officially unveil him on Friday evening.
He replaces Swiss manager Marcel Koller, who left the club following their exit in the CAF Champions League semi-finals.
