Egyptian reports revealed that Riveiro is reportedly not fully convinced by what he's seen from defender Mostafa El-Ash.
The defender spent the previous campaign on loan with the Red Devils, and the club reportedly signed him for a reported fee of 60 million Egyptian pounds (R21,6 million), according to Youm7.
The defender was signed permanently shortly before the FIFA Club World Cup. However, he did not feature during the competition, seemingly due to Riveiro's alleged attitude toward him, Youm7 report.
According to Ahly News, Riveiro reportedly expressed concern with the 24-year-old's struggles to play the ball out from the back and his poor positional awareness on the pitch, meaning he is not near the top of Riveiro's options in the backline.
The club had reportedly considered playing El-Ash at left-back, but the former Orlando Pirates boss remains doubtful that he can make any significant contributions both defensively and in attack.
Despite showing promise during his loan spell, El-Ash has now seemingly fallen out of favour with Riveiro.
