Elias Mokwana is reportedly expected to miss the start of Esperance de Tunis’ pre-season camp amid speculation that he could be on his way out of the record Tunisian champions.

The South African winger is attracting significant interest following a solid debut season with Taraji. European clubs — primarily — as well as teams in Saudi Arabia, are said to be monitoring the 25-year-old’s situation.
Among the sides linked to Mokwana are Russian outfit Dynamo Makhachkala and Saudi Pro League club Al-Hazem. However, it is believed that Esperance have yet to receive an offer that meets their valuation of the Bafana Bafana international.
While it remains to be seen if any suitor will match the asking price, the Blood and Gold still expect their star winger to report for pre-season duty.
The four-time CAF Champions League winners have already begun preparations for the 2025/26 campaign, with most of the squad present. However, Mokwana is yet to join the group.
According to Foot Africa, Mokwana is one of four players — alongside Yan Sasse, Rodrigo Rodrigues, and Youcef Belaili — who have been granted an extended break following the club’s participation at the FIFA Club World Cup.
