Pyramids striker Fiston Mayele reportedly left the club's camp suddenly ahead of their Egyptian Super Cup clash against Fagrie Lakay's Ceramica Cleopatra FC on Thursday afternoon.

The Democratic Republic of Congo international was not available for Krunoslav Jurcic's charges as they prepared their third-place Egyptian Super Cup match-up.
The most recent Egyptian Premier League runners-up lost 6-5 to Zamalek in the semi-finals of the competition to set up a date against the Giza-based side but were without the services of talisman Mayele for that tie, which ended in a 2-2 draw before Pyramids emerged victorious with a 5-4 penalty shootout win.
According to Yallakora, the reason for the 30-year-old's absence from the crunch game is because he requested to leave camp as a result of his father being sick.
It is understood that the former Young Africans man spoke to the club's technical team and explained the situation, after which they agreed for him to travel back to his native Congo to be with his family.
The date for the striker's return to Cairo is unknown but the club will likely be hoping Mayele's father returns to full health as soon as possible so they can have their star man back.

Their first league match of the season will be against Petrojet on 1 November.
