The former Egypt reveals that El-Shenawy held a meeting with sporting director Mohamed Youssef about him being the number one shot-stopper.
"There is a current crisis between Mohamed El-Shenawy and the coach José Ribeiro, due to the latter's desire to rely primarily on Mustafa Shobeir in the upcoming period," Abdel Aal said on Ten, as per Ysscores.
"El-Shenawy held a meeting with Mohamed Youssef and clearly told him: I am the number one goalkeeper, and the Egypt Cup player was Shobeir, but the league and the African Champions League are mine."
"From Ribeiro's perspective, Shobeir has deserved to be the first goalkeeper at Al-Ahly for the past three years."
