In-Form Billiat: It Has Been Up & Down

The ex-Zimbabwe international has been in fine form for Yadah FC, whom he joined in February this year after his contract at Naturena had expired.

Billiat, 33, has recorded an impressive 11 goal contributions in 10 appearances for the Zim outfit, although this has not been enough to help 14th-placed Yadah up the Castle Lager Premier League table.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns and Chiefs playmaker has admitted he and his teammates are far from where they desire to be, and that he is thinking more about the club's performance at the moment than his own.

"It has been up and down, there are days that we don't want to remember, and there are days that we look at and take the positives and work with them so we can be better," he told ZTN Prime

"We have not reached where we want to. We are big dreamers, we see ourselves doing very, very well. I don't think we are close to that and there is a lot of work we have to do.

"Scoring goals, it's always nice to be on the score sheet. but I'm more focused on the club and, right now, I know if the club is doing very well, then everyone will be in a good position to score more goals.

"They like to say I'm a big player, but I'm very small when it comes to the game. I respect the game so much. I'm very close to the game. It requires effort like everything else. It requires working hard like everything else.

"They say I'm a leader, which I don't believe, I think I'm just like everyone else who needs to learn and grow in the game.

"But I like the challenge, I like to get better all the time, so I have to work hard. If they say I am a leader, then I have to lead by example."
