'Yeye' has emerged as a target for Botswana FNB Premiership side Matebele FC after the team lost interim coach Sean Connor at the end of the season, after he decided to move to Jwaneng Galaxy.
Matebele finished 12th last season and currently sit 15th in the table after losing their league opener, so the club is determined to appoint a permanent manager for stability.
According to Foot Africa, Matebele has identified the Amakhosi legend as their next manager following Connor's departure. An insider revealed that the club has approached Letsholonyane to understand whether or not his appointment would be possible.
Sources revealed that talks were in the early stages but the two parties have not ruled out the possibility of reaching an agreement to appoint the 54-cap Bafana international.
Letsholonyane would become the second South African to manage in Botswana after Owen Da Gama joined the rebranded Black Lions.
