A former head coach of Algerian giants ES Setif has explained what he thinks is the main difference between Pitso Mosimane and current Al Ahly boss Marcel Koller.

When the South African tactician too charge of the Club of the Century, it had been seven years since they had won the CAF Champions League. He ended that continental trophy drought by winning back-to-back titles in 2020 and 2021.
The Egyptian juggernauts would have a brief moment of managerial turmoil after his departure, when Ricardo Soares was appointed to be Mosimane's successor.
However, after the Portuguese left the Cairo International Stadium, the club would choose Koller as their next manager.
The Swiss tactician has now also led Ahly to successive triumphs in Africa's premier club competition, and with both Mosimane and Koller having managed to achieve great continental success with the Red Devils, Serbian manager Darko Novic has revealed what he believes the key differences between them are.
"Al Ahly with Mosimane is a different era than Koller's era with Al Ahly," Novic said while speaking to Masrawy.
"The main point for me is that what the Swiss coach did was a complete transformation of the team in order to make it younger, whether in the midfield, which now has new players, or some other positions as well.

"I cannot judge any coach in the world or compare him or talk about his style and the differences between them, as the two have a different way of thinking and a style of dealing with the players, but I cannot be smarter than Koller or any other coach."
