Group C: Zimbabwe Stunned, Bafana & Nigeria Fall Behind

Zimbabwe 0-2 Lesotho

Zimbabwe remain without a win in Group the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers C after a 2-0 defeat to neighbors Lesotho at Orlando Stadium.

Rethabile Rasethuntsa opened the scoring for Lesotho midway into the first stanza and Jane Thaba Ntso quickly doubled their lead just after the half-hour mark.

Likuena picked up their first victory and remained unbeaten after three matches.

The Warriors plunged to the bottom of the group following the defeat and remain winless after three matches.

Lesotho, meanwhile, find themselves top of the standings after three matches played ahead of their clash against Rwanda on Tuesday.

Rwanda, Benin and South Africa all sit on four points, while Nigeria are fifth spot still looking for their first win.

Angola 1-0 Eswatini

Angola won for the first time in Group D after edging Eswatini 1-0 at Estádio 11 de Novembro.

Mabululu opened the scoring for Angola within the first two minutes and that was enough to hand them their first victory.

Eswatini lost their third successive game.

Kenya 1-1 Burundi

Burundi scored in the dying minutes to salvage a 1-1 draw against Kenya in a Group F encounter Bingu National Stadium.

After a goalless first stanza, Duke Abuya eventually broke the deadlock for Kanya with 18 minutes remaining.

However, Abdallah Sudi levelled matters for The Swallows five minutes before time.

The sides clocked four points apiece on the table.

Mozambique 2-1 Somalia

Mozambique got their Group G campaign back on track after edging Somalia 2-1 at Estádio do Zimpeto.

Alfons Amade opened the scoring for the Mambas after 14 minutes and Stanley Ratifo gave them a two-goal cushion just before the half-hour mark.

Ismail Shirwa pulled a goal back for Somalia on 66 minutes but the visitors could not stage a comeback.

Uganda 1-0 Botswana

Uganda picked up their second win in Group G after edging Botswana 1-0 at Nelson Mandela National Stadium.

After a goalless first stanza, Muhammad Shaban broke the deadlock for the Cranes 16 minutes before time and that was enough to hand them their second win.

Madagascar 2-1 Comoros

Madagascar climbed up to the top of Group I after a narrow 2-1 win over fellow island nation Comoros at FNB Stadium.

Rayan Raveloson gave Madagascar a perfect start after opening the scoring within the first minute.

Raveloson doubled the lead for The Berea and grabbed his brace on 66 minutes.

El Fardou Ben reduced the deficit for Comoros in added time but it was too little too late.
