Benin 1-0 Rwanda

Benin moved up to second spot in Group C of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers after defeating Rwanda on Thursday night.

Benin were looking for their first win Group C after losing to South Africa in their last encounter in November, before they drew with Lesotho.

The home side got the breakthrough on 37 minutes as Doku Dodo found the back of the net after being set up by Junior Olaitan.

Benin will remain on home soil for their next qualifier against Nigeria, while Rwanda will travel once again as they take on Lesotho at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Egypt maintained their winning start in Group A with a 2-1 victory over Burkina Faso on Thursday night.
