Uganda Top Bafana's Group With First Win

Uganda 2-0 Congo-Brazzaville

Uganda climbed up to the top of Group K after beating Congo Brazzaville 2-0 at Nelson Mandela National Stadium.

Aziz Kayondo broke the deadlock Uganda midway into the first stanza and Jude Ssemugabi sealed the three points for the hosts with the second goal four minutes before time.

Paul Put's charges, who clocked four points, topped the group, with Bafana Bafana, only on one point, set to complete matchday two in the section away to South Sudan on Tuesday afternoon.

Burundi 0-1 Senegal

Senegal finally got off the mark in Group L after edging Burundi 1-0 Bingu National Stadium.

After a goalless first stanza, Ismaila Sarr scored the only goal of the game for the Terenga Lions in the last 20 minutes as they collected four points from their first two games.

Burundi remained on three points after they opened their campaign with a 3-2 win over Malawi.

Niger 1-1 Ghana

Ghana remain winless and picked up their first point in Group F after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Niger at Stade Municipal de Berkane.

Alidu Seidu broke the deadlock for Ghana on the stroke of half-time.

However, Oumar Sako snatched the equaliser for Niger nine minutes before time.

Madagascar 1-1 Comoros

Madagascar got their first point in Group A after a 1-1 draw against Comoros at Honneur Stadium.

Charles Andriamatsinoro gave Madagascar an early lead but The Barea were pegged back after Youssouf M'Changama found the back of the net for Comoros just before the interval.

Equatorial Guinea 2-2 Togo

Togo missed the chance to get their first victory in Group E after a 2-2 draw against Equatorial Guinea Nuevo Estadio de Malabo.

Luis Asue opened the scoring for Equatorial Guinea after 17 minutes Roger Aholou levelled matters for Togo on the stroke of half-time.

Jannick Buyla restored the lead for Nzalang Nacional with 15 minutes remaining.

However, Kodjo Laba snatched the dramatic equaliser for The Sparrowhawks in added time.
