WATCH: Is This The Greatest Goal-Line Clearance Of All Time?

With there being a call for the modern day defender to be more aesthetic and easy on the eye in terms of game play, a Russian footballer recently put his body on the line in what was an amazing goal-line clearance. Did you see it?

The player, Evgeni Chernov, was the difference as FC Rostov beat giants Lokomotiv Moscow 2-1 in an away tie to remain at the top of the Russian Premier League table.

Adding more drama to it all, Chernov's double-save came during injury time, when he first cleared the ball off the line and then dived with his back to the ball to stop a follow-up shot, leaving his side in the lead while they top the log in Russia.

With fans captivated on social media, clips of the near-impossible clearance were shared bountifully on social media, with many in awe of the defending on display.
