The Fan Park lists five players who we believe are key to their team’s top four ambitions.
Raheem Sterling - Liverpool
The 20-year-old England international’s form will be vital in Liverpool’s race for a top four finish come the end of the season. After the departure of Luis Suarez and the injury to Daniel Sturridge in the beginning of their campaign, a lot of pressure was put on the youngster’s shoulders. With Sturridge back from his long spell on the sidelines, Sterling will feel less pressure, allowing him to express himself – which could better his performance.
David de Gea – Manchester United
It’s no doubt that the Spaniard has been great for the Red Devils this season, and we certainly think he will be important until their very last game. De Gea has saved United on numerous occasions with his brilliant efforts in goal, but can they rely on him every match? Well, it almost seems like they have. The 24-year-old was the star of the highlights reel in their 3-0 win against Liverpool earlier this season, with saves right from the top drawer. If United want to push for Champions League, de Gea’s form will be key.
Santi Cazorla – Arsenal
The Spaniard has performed when Arsenal have needed him most this season, and with Sanchez’s recent dip in form, Cazorla’s play-making ability is vital for Arsenal’s top four ambitions. The 30-year-old has scored seven and assisted seven from his 25 league appearances, with his more memorable performances coming in the last two months for the Gunners.
Eden Hazard – Chelsea
What can we say about this player? He has been simply magnificent this season for the Blues and his form until the end of the season may determine whether Chelsea hold on to the number one spot on the table. Even in their star-studded line-up, it’s Hazard’s name that all fans look for first.
Harry Kane – Tottenham Hotspur
The 21-year-old English striker, who has scored 14 league goals for Spurs this season, has been in sublime touch, hasn’t he? And it doesn’t seem like he is finished yet. Tottenham will have hopes of qualifying for European football and its Kane’s performances upfront that may determine whether they achieve that or not. We haven’t seen a young English forward take the Premier League by storm the way he has in a long time, and that’s why he makes our list of the most important players.
Can you name any other players who you believe should be regarded as one of the most important players in the Premier League right now?
