Teko Modise is currently a free agent, and he will be on the prowl to find a team to join ahead of the 2017/18 ABSA Premiership season, but which clubs will suit him best?
The 34-year-old's six-year spell at Mamelodi Sundowns came to an end when the Brazilians released him after they decided not to exercise his one-year option. As such, Modise has the ability to choose his next club, and there are a few outfits he could excel in.
Here are a few clubs he could consider:
"Donadoni" is well acquainted with what Gavin Hunt has achieved in the league, and he will surely be keen to work under a four-time championship-winning coach. The Bidvest Wits tactician loves to have experienced men in his squad to rely on, and there are few players who have as much experience as Teko.
Born and raised in Soweto, Modise's team of his heart growing up was Orlando Pirates, and he could be eager to return to the Buccaneers in order to help restore the club back to former glories. With a mass exodus expected at Mayfair, the midfielder could be one of the players arriving.
Cape Town City
Imagine Benni McCarthy coaching Modise? The two certainly enjoyed time playing next to each other on the field, and they could be eager to rekindle their partnership. Benni has the pulling power to convince any player to join his side, including the No. 10.
Until Modise announces his next move, the rumours won't be put to bed, and it will be an interesting wait to see where he lands up.
Where do you think "The General" will play next season?
