The news of Leroy Sane's exclusion from the Germany World Cup squad went viral on social media this week, with many taking to Instagram and Twitter to voice their opinion. So, too, did Manchester City teammate Kyle Walker, and Sane himself has since responded. Did you see it?
Sane's high-profile axing from the Germany squad came as a shock for many after his highly successful campaign with the Premier League champions.
Joachim Low later explained that it was a tough decision to make, and that it was also a "photo finish" with Bundesliga star Julian Brandt, who was eventually chosen ahead of Sane.
After Die Mannschaft's Russia 2018 final squad announcement, Walker took to Instagram to post a picture that was captioned: "When you find out Leroy Sane isn't going to the World Cup."

Sane then replied in the comments section, saying: "Well you're lucky that you don't have to play against me bro!"
It is encouraging to know that, despite being snubbed for the showpiece, the speedy winger harbours no resentment, as was evident when he later posted a classy response to his exclusion.
Why do you think Sane was left out of Germany's World Cup squad?
