Former Kaizer Chiefs strikers Lehlohonolo Majoro and Kingston Nkhatha have been in good form for Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United respectively, all while Amakhosi have their own problems to deal with upfront.
So, who are Chiefs missing the most at this point in time?
Currently, Majoro has been in impressive form for the Buccaneers, having found the back of the net in the league on eight occasions, with his club only losing one of those eight games too.
His goal return in his second season with the Bucs has been absolutely incredible, and he has so far shown no signs of slowing down for the Sea Robbers.
When Major left Chiefs in January of last season, many of us Khosi fans were left angry and upset at his departure, but through the services of Bernard Parker, Knowledge Musona and Kingston Nkhatha we managed to survive.
Now, the latter two have both left the club, with Nkhatha being the most to go - in January this year.
The Zimbabwean’s exit was left with mixed emotions as the boo boys were not concerned, while the other group of Chiefs fans knew that a potential mistake could have been made. He has, after all, scored more league goals for SuperSport already than what Chiefs have done in 2015….
Losing Majoro, Musona (who was on loan) and Nkhatha all in the space of a year has undoubtedly had a heavy impact on the team, and this is evident in the fact that they are yet to score a league goal this year.
Not only that, Parker has only got three goals to his name this season, while Siphelele Mthembu is the only other forward to have found the back of the net.
To make matters worse, Mthembu was tipped to be the man to take over from Nkhatha as a holding striker, but he has so far struggled to adapt to the new role asked of him.
It seems that Chiefs could’ve used with both Majoro and Nkhatha this season…
As they say, one’s loss is another one’s gain Khosi fans. Who do you think we are missing the most – Majoro or Nkhatha?
