Yesterday we saw defending Premier League champions Manchester City suffer another defeat, but this time it was to our neighbours Manchester United.
A derby loss was something we didn’t need, as we already dropped out of the title race a few weeks back. The performance was flat and there are players that are clearly not good enough anymore. Here are five players I think Man City need to sell.
The big Ivorian seems to be very disinterested in the club and it’s clearly seen by his body language on the park. He is 32-years-old now and is yet to be offered a new contract at the club, which could mean he wants to leave… quite frankly I hope he does!
He is a player that hasn’t quite had the backing from the coaching staff or the fans over the last few years, and now I think it’s time he moves on. I have nothing personal against the player, but shouldn’t we rather have someone in the squad we trust and want to use?
The former Arsenal man has been nothing but average since he joined the club, and with this position being a real problem area for us, it may be time that we sell him and find someone willing to put a shift in.
The Spaniard has been very poor since joining the Premier League and must surely be one of the players we are thinking of selling. His poor crossing and decision making has cost us a few times already this season.
Jovetic is another wasted player in our squad. He was left out of the Champions League squad and doesn’t seem to be trusted much, as he cannot even hold down a regular starting position in the league games.
Who do you think Manchester City need to sell?
