Kaizer Chiefs released a statement on Tuesday afternoon announcing which players would be leaving the club, but how much have they missed out in potential transfer fees?

The Glamour Boys did much the same last season when they announced fringe players who would be shown the exit door, and now four players have seen their contracts being terminated.

Siphelele Mthembu, meanwhile, will leave Naturena as a free agent with just two weeks remaining on his contract at the club. He is now free to join a team of his choosing.

Lewis Macha and Camaldine Abraw's contract terminations mean that their exit will now open up two foreigner slots for the coming transfer window.

In total, five players will leave the club without Chiefs claiming any money on transfer fees, meaning they have potentially missed out on just over R21 million.
