Champions League action will resume tonight and a number of eyes from South Africa will be glued on how Thulani Serero will do against Paris Saint-Germain, and their attacking midfielder Javier Pastore.
The two will come head-to-head against each other in the encounter at the Amsterdam ArenA, and he are a few tit bits on their history.
Traditionally, both are utilized as the link-up player between the midfield and the striking pairs, and do enjoy pushing up forward and getting into the box.
Serero’s secondary position is in the central midfield role, while Pastore can also play on the left and right wing, where he supplies crosses to Ezequiel Lavezzi, Edison Cavani and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. However, both are expected to start directly against each other in their primary position.
Serero is pint-sized and tricky with his feet. He is quick, can dribble around his marker, while Pastore is more physically commanding. Standing a whole ten centimeters taller than the Bafana international, the Argentina is stronger in the aerial balls than Serero.
Both are regarded as two sublime talents in their respective teams and it waits to be seen who will win the battle between the two sides.
Serero, the nation is backing you!
