Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo will go down in history as one of the greatest footballers ever, but sadly his father has not been around to witness his son's stunning development.
In September 2005, Ronaldo's father, Jose Dinis Aveiro, died at the age of 52, and it's believed he was his son's biggest supporter.
The Real Madrid star took to Instagram to honour the 10th anniversary of his father's passing, hours before he took to the field for Portugal.
Ronaldo posted the above message on his Instagram page: "Thanks daddy always in my heart."
