Rasta's Siphiwe Mkhonza tribute

Rasta the Artist honoured the late Siphiwe Mkhonza with a portrait painting that was presented at his funeral on Sunday.

The 44-year-old Mkhonza, who played for Bafana Bafana, Kaizer Chiefs, Golden Arrows, Maritzburg United and Bloemfontein Celtic, among others, passed away at Charlotte Maxeke Hospital on Tuesday, 5 March 2024 after battling an illness.

Along with the host of legends that gathered to say their final goodbyes to "Skizo", Rasta was on hand to start and finish a painting of Mkhonza that was exhibited alongside his casket.

"Rest in Peace legendary Siphiwe Ignatius Mkhonza. Dr Mnandi played for 8 teams professionally analysing soccer will never be the same. You made us enjoy sports talks with Kasi lingo that we understand. Lala, Mfoka Mkhonza," wrote Rasta on IG, where he showed the different stages of painting the Mkhonza portrait.
