Thabo Rakhale is one of the most talked about players in the Premier Soccer League at the moment and that because of the skilful way he plays his football.
Many fans even feel that he is a player at the forefront of resurrecting 'Kasi Flavour' into our local game, which has been a proud element missing from the South African game for many years.
When asked about where his trickery comes from, he said, "That's God-given talent, ha ha! It comes naturally, that's the way I play. I started expressing myself from my fourth game at Pirates," Jomo said in an interview in this week's issue of Soccer Laduma.
"My first game was against SuperSport United and I came on as a substitute. I did fairly well that day. As I kept playing and time went on, that's when my confidence started coming.
"It takes game time for the confidence to be there. Even the guy's I'm playing with were telling me all along to relax and play my normal football."
He went on to say that players can express themselves if it's to the benefit of the team, and that people will only have a go at you if you mess up while trying to show off skills.
"Ha ha ha! Eish, ngingathini, mfethu (what can I say, my brother)? You know, if you do such things, as long as you don't lose the ball and as long as you do it for a positive purpose, I don't think anyone is going to have a problem. But if you do it for the fun of it and then lose the ball after that, that's when people have a go at you," he added.
Do you think Rakhale can become one of the best players in the Premier Soccer League?
