PSL Footballers' Jobs Outside Of The Beautiful Game

PSL Footballers' Jobs Outside Of The Beautiful Game

Even in this day and age football cannot fully fund our current PSL players' lifestyles, and, as a result, they have ventured into jobs of their own.

Here is a list of players that are involved with projects on the side…

Mame Niang – Owns A Restaurant

The lanky striker has quite an interesting mix of Swedish and Senegalese in his family home, and he has opted to take that and form a restaurant. His eatery opened up just the other day.

Siphiwe Tshabalala – Owner Of Fish Chips

If you haven't seen the former Bafana Bafana midfielder's face posted next to fish and chips posters then you must be driving around your city blindfolded. Shabba is the proud owner of several branches in the famous Fish Chips franchise.

Thabo Nthethe – Owner Of A Gym

The Mamelodi Sundowns stopper opened his own gym in Bloemfontein a few years ago with his mates. With there being little to do in the City of Roses, I guess people will head over to the gym!

Reneilwe Letsholonyane – MC At A Youth Church

Although this may not be a business as such, Yeye can often be found acting as an MC/preacher at his church and youth churches alike. The Kaizer Chiefs man has made it no secret that he is a man of God.

Siyabonga Sangweni – Taxi Fleet

Like most players in the PSL, Sangweni owns a number of taxis. The taxi business in this country is a big one and I am sure it is a success. I just hope that he isn't the one doing the driving after having seen pictures of his car accident a few years ago.

Benson Mhlongo – Mechanic

In his spare time Benson can be found fixing cars. Apparently he has his own work shop where he does all the repairs and bodyworks on the cars.

Esrom Nyandoro – Services cars

Nicknamed the 'Yellowman' he did not get his name from his motor hobbies away from the field.  Like Mhlongo, the Sundowns man is also a mechanic of sorts as he services cars.

Lebohang Mokoena – Car Wash

There is a strange trend of cars with these footballers, and this time it is Cheeseboy who is involved in the motor vehicle industry. The Sundowns man keeps his car clean all the time as he owns his own car wash.

Teko Modise – Catering Company

There is a reason why Teko Modise leaves us salivating in the stands when he watch him play… Not only is his footwork with the ball tantalizing, but he owns his own catering company of foods and treats.

Daine Klate – Crèche

Can someone say Daddy Daycare? Klate is often Instgramming pictures of himself and his love for his children. He has opted to take his knowledge of kids and own up his own Crèche for young babies.

Mabhuti Khenyeza – Property Management Company

The former Ajax Cape Town man is said to be investing his money in property where he buys and sells refurbished apartments and buildings.

Did you know this about your players? Who else can you add to the list?
