As he rakes in the big bucks, it has been revealed that Portuguese megastar Cristiano Ronaldo is paid more to post on his Instagram than he does to actually play football. Check it out.
He is ranked number one on the list of highest earning athletes on Instagram and now it has been revealed by Business Insider that the 34-year-old actually makes more from the social media platform than he does from his Italian side Juventus.
Of course, the former Real Madrid man has various streams of income, like his blockbuster endorsements with the likes of Nike and Tag Heuer, but Insta seems to be his biggest one.
Ronaldo reportedly makes $47.8 million (R 705 million) per year from Instagram, compared to the $34 million (R501 million) he makes from Juventus.
Ronaldo is the most followed human being on the planet and comes in miles ahead of his archrival, Lionel Messi.
