That's exactly what the 31-year old has done. He's quietly gone about his business, ensuring everyone in his position to become the best.
He formed part of the successful Spain and Barcelona squads that dominated world football between 2009 and 2012, winning the FIFA World Cup as well as back-to-back UEFA titles.
Busquets' teammates recently paid homage to his achievements after he celebrated a decade with the national team, having made his debut in 2009.
The likes of Andres Iniesta, Xavi, David Villa, Pedro and Iker Casillas all starred in a video where they wished him well and spoke fondly of the FC Barcelona man.
