Said to pay homage to the City's cultural heritage, the new home shirt was inspired by famous mosaics located in the creative hub of Manchester's Northern Quarter.

That said, the away jersey gained more favour among fans compared to the home shirt.
The Citizens new away jersey sports a dark blue and black all-over pattern, which is said to be influenced by the structures and appearance of Castlefield and the Bridgewater canal in Manchester.
