They say that, in Brazil, football is a religion, but according to a South African pastor, it's Soweto giants Orlando Pirates who are mentioned in the bible. Did you hear what he had to say?
In a video that has been making the rounds on the internet, an unnamed preacher can be heard telling his congregation, "We support Pirates, the club that is in the bible", and just as he says this, gospel music comes on, to which the man starts crossing his arms rhythmically to show the symbol that has long been associated with the Sea Robbers.

We have our doubts as to his statement about the club being mentioned in the bible, and perhaps he was simply sharing a light-hearted joke, but he certainly appeared to be moved by the simple mention of the club's name.
The Buccaneers would do well to win their game against Platinum Stars on Saturday in order to ensure the congregation remain in high spirits going into Sunday's church service.
What do you think of this preacher?
