Rivals PUMA and Adidas recently unveiled new boots and naturally, Nike had to follow suit. They got some of their biggest stars to launch the boot. Check it out!
Nike unveiled the newest Cristiano Ronaldo boots, which are finally called the Nike Mercurial 'Lvl Up'.
Despite currently being out with an injury he suffered while on international duty for Portugal, Cristiano Ronaldo is undoubtedly one of the best players in the world.
The Juventus superstar has been the face of Nike's Mercurial Vapor boot for well over 10 years, so it came as no surprise that he was one of the athletes selected to premiere the boot.
He starred alongside the talented French wonder kid, Kylian Mbappe. The PSG forward is fast becoming one of Nike's most elite athletes in world football. Mbappe is already being compared to both Ronaldo and arch-rival, Leo Messi, and has been tipped to succeed both players who are well into their 30s.
Samantha Kerr ensured that there was female representation in the shoot. The Australian women's national team all-time top scorer features alongside Ronaldo and Mbappe and is Nike's female face of football.
Nike took to their Instagram page to share their new boot with fans.
"Lace up and Level up," wrote the American giant.
The new Nike Mercurial Superfly 6 'Lvl Up' Cristiano Ronaldo 2019 boots are predominantly white with black branding and a multicolour band across the front with another one appearing on the heel and sole plate. These stripes also feature on other items from the Nike CR7 2019 collection and include the colours and patterns of previous Cristiano Ronaldo signature boots.
The boots will be available from March 31.
