What's the story?
The new 2021/22 PSL season is on the horizon and amid the anticipation, Chiefs recently unveiled their playing threads for the new campaign.
Throwback Kit
As expected, the club generated a buzz in the process, with their kit offering still being a hot topic among supporters today. The new home jersey draws striking comparisons to a shirt the club had in the early 2000's, throwing it back to the time when Ted Dumitru, Scara Ngobese and Collins Mbesuma were associated with the club.
Now though, the club took to their social media handles in announcing that fans will be able to get their hands on a limited edition warm-up top.
The jersey sports vivid gold and purple patterns and is said to be made from 75% recycled polyester fabric. As quoted on the Kaizer Chiefs digi store, the club said, "The material comes from plastic bottles that Nike has diverted from landfills since 2010—bringing Nike's total to more than 7 billion bottles.
Move To Zero
It is the move to zero that requires us to change our behaviour, start being conscious of our environment, a promise to move to use a product that is environmentally friendly and reducing the use of plastic products."
