FC Barcelona have found another creative way of making money from their iconic Spotify Camp Nou stadium that is currently undergoing a two-year-long construction.

What's the story?
The Spotify Camp Nou is in the middle of its two-year redevelopment and FC Barcelona are capitalising on the stadium's legendary status by making money from its remaining bits like the grass.
Along with selling memorabilia of the actual grass that was used at the stadium, the club has revealed a range of diamonds for sale, made from the same materials extracted from the pitch.

FC Barcelona's diamonds
The Blaugrana are making the most of the renovations being done at Camp Nou by selling memorabilia of the stadium such as grass and the goal nets among other items.
The most noticeable items on sale are the diamonds produced with the same carbon as the old Camp Nou grass.
According to a Spanish publication, Cadena Cope, the half carat diamond on sale will set someone back R49 909, while the single carat rock priced at around R294 922.

Other stand out stadium objects that are being sold include the last Camp Nou goal net, valued at around R1 580, along with a frame with a piece of grass for around R8 297 and a mini Camp Nou stadium figurine, that costs almost R1 000, complete with the stadium's grass.

Barca will be playing at the Olympic Stadium for the next two years while the Camp Nou undergoes a R29.4 billion renovation that should be completed by 2025, after their 125-year anniversary.
