The story
Canadian international, Alphonso Davies put pen to paper on his contract with FC Bayern Munich on Wednesday, committing to the German giants until 30 June 2030.
The 24-year-old Canadian international has been with the club since the 2018/19 season, after joining from MLS side Vancouver Whitecaps.
Arriving in Munich aged 18, Davies has made 220 competitive appearances for Bayern, scoring 12 goals and registering 34 assists.
During his time at the club, he's won five Bundesliga titles, the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, two DFB Cups, and three German Supercups.
"Phonzy" as he's affectionately known, commemorated his contract extension with an AI-generated rap song created just for him, titled "Munchen my Throne."
