Pirates Don't Need To Look Far For A New Striker

The insiders added that Msezane, who is not only Bucs' top scorer but also one of the leading scorers in the DDC, is being strongly considered for promotion to the senior team.

"He has been doing well for the DDC team and since the first team is looking at improving their striking department then they are believed to be considering Sphamandla (Msezane) for promotion. They are working around the clock to have good competition in the striking department so that they can compete in all the tournaments next season, as well, including going for the league title," the insider told the Siya crew.

A second source stated that Msezane's progress had been once bolstered by his time at Pele Pele FC in the Gauteng Motsepe Foundation Championship, a club which has a relationship with Pirates.

"He has always been a Pirates player and the time he spent at Pele Pele really helped him and now he is scoring goals in the DDC and he is among the three top scorers in the DDC. That's why the senior team is set to give him a chance to play at a higher level," the second insider revealed.

The 22-year-old striker has been a standout performer in the DDC. Msezane's potential promotion reflects Pirates' commitment to nurturing young talent from their development structures and bolstering their squad depth to challenge for honours in the upcoming season.
