The left-back moves across London, completing a six-month loan to the Eagles after struggling for game time at Stamford Bridge.
An ever-present on the left flank since signing for the Blues, he has lost his prominence under Enzo Maresca, having played just one match in the Carabao Cup last August.
The 28-year-old has now traded west London for south London, becoming Palace's second arrival of the window after Romain Esse was confirmed as their first signing this January.
The move comes in light of the Blues' recall of Trevoh Chalobah earlier in the window and Chadi Riad's season-ending injury.

At the start of the season, Maresca stated that Chilwell was not part of his plans. Since a permanent move did not come to fruition then, he now finds himself at Selhurst Park.
