Pirates' Top 5 Strikes: The Best League Goals So Far This Season

Orlando Pirates have treated their supporters to some spectacular goals so far this season. Here's a look at the team's top five strikes!

The story

The Buccaneers enjoyed a standout first half of the Betway Premiership season, with Jose Riveiro's side putting in strong efforts to replicate their cup successes in the league.

Pirates have been neck-and-neck with the reigning league champions, Mamelodi Sundowns, finding themselves just three points off the top with a game in hand. 

In terms of goals scored, Ezimnyama Ngenkani and Masandawana are neck and neck, with both teams having netted 22 goals each in the Betway Premiership, far outpacing their competitors.

With rising stars such as Thalente Mbatha, Relebohile Mofokeng and Mohau Nkota in their ranks, the Sea Robbers have wowed the Happy People with sensational goals. 

Nkota's first ever senior team goal is one he wont forget in a hurry, a blistering long range strike that proved to be too good for ex-Bucs keeper, Richard Ofori in Pirates' 2-1 over AmaZulu in October.

In another 2-1 win, this time over TS Galaxy, Mbatha and Mofokeng put the sword through the Mbombela-based side with a pair of top notch finishes from distance.

Against Richards Bay in Durban, the Buccaneers had to fight hard to earn a narrow 1-0 win, thanks to a superb freekick from skillful attacking midfielder, Kabelo Dlamini.
