The story

From Kaizer Chiefs starlet, Mduduzi Shabalala's beauty against Chippa United to Victor Letsoalo's smart chip in TS Galaxy's win over the struggling Royal AM, fans have been treated to a wealth of top class goals in December.

Almost 50 goals were scored in Mzansi's top flight last month, with the Buccaneers earning the biggest win with a mammoth 8-1 result at home to Marumo Gallants on Christmas Eve. 

In that game, midfielder Thalente Mbatha bagged a brace with one of his long range strikes standing out as one of the best goals of the month, if not the season as a whole.

In their following encounter against Magesi FC at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on 29 December, Mofokeng produced another unreal moment of individual brilliance to help Pirates over the line in a narrow 1-0 win.

On 18 December, the league's top marksman, Iqraam Rayners showed no mercy against his former side when Masandawana overcame a valiant Stellenbosch at the DHL Stadium, securing all three points in clinical fashion for his sixth Betway Prem goal of the current campaign.

Following closely behind Rayners on the top scorers chart in Brazilian baller, Lucas Ribeiro Costa, who scored a wonderful effort in a hard fought 2-0 win Richards Bay FC at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi, Durban on 28 December.
