Real Madrid 'Main Concern' Revealed

Real Madrid's board are reportedly worried more about the team's injury crisis than Kylian Mbappe's form and Carlo Ancelotti's job.

Real Madrid's main concern amid Kylian Mbappe's poor form and Carlo Ancelotti's job security has reportedly been revealed.

Ancelotti is set to meet with President Florentino Perez to discuss the current state of the team following a tough defeat to Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League.

While Ancelotti's position remains under scrutiny, though, he is not the club's primary concern at this time. As manager and the face of the team, Ancelotti is inevitably at the centre of criticism, some of which is certainly warranted.

Mbappe, meanwhile, has also faced his share of blame as the club's star player, with the France captain battling to find his best form in the early stages of his Real career.

According to Cadena SER, the real issue causing alarm at the Santiago Bernabeu is the team's fitness and injury record. In just 20 games, Real have seen half of their squad sidelined, averaging nearly one injury per match.

While fitness coach Antonio Pintus has received praise in the past, recent reports suggest that concerns about his methods have begun to surface in the dressing room, and these concerns now appear to have reached the boardroom.

With an already thin squad, Ancelotti has found himself facing a challenging situation. The absences of key players such as Dani Carvajal, David Alaba and Eder Militao in defence, along with frequent injuries to Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni and Rodrygo, have left the manager with a depleted group.

And now, with Vinicius Junior also sidelined, it is hard to imagine any manager meeting expectations under such circumstances.

Nonetheless, the team's form prior to the injury crisis was hardly convincing either, adding further pressure on Ancelotti and his squad.
