Ndlovu: The Countries Mofokeng Can Go To...

Relebohile Mofokeng during the Betway Premiership match between Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United at Orlando Stadium on 22 October 2024 in Johannesburg, South Africa.

As someone who has vast knowledge of playing abroad, Dino Ndlovu has given his opinion on which leagues abroad would best suit Orlando Pirates youngster Relebohile Mofokeng in Europe.

Currently in camp with Bafana Bafana for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, Mofokeng has attracted attention abroad, first going on trial at Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers and then getting linked with Scottish Premier League giants Glasgow Rangers.

Some of South Africa's most successful stars moved to Europe at a young age, such as Benni McCarthy, Steven Pienaar and Aaron Mokoena, and Mofokeng could follow in the footsteps of these legends, but Ndlovu has stressed the importance of making a move to the right league, where he will be able to get a fair opportunity to shine and build his name in Europe before moving onto bigger and better.

"Mofokeng is the one who has been the standout. But I think if he can go to countries where he will be able to play more, (such as) Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, France and Portugal. Those are the countries where I feel he will play more or the odds will be in his favour," Ndlovu said to the Siya crew.

"When you go to some of the world class (leagues), it's difficult to compete there, but I think for him if there is an opportunity that comes on the table, Pirates must just do the right thing and allow the boy to move because it's high time we allow a lot of young players to go overseas."

Mofokeng, meanwhile, could get an opportunity to feature when Bafana take on South Sudan in their final Group K AFCON qualifier in Cape Town on Tuesday. Bafana have already qualified for AFCON and are determined to end the campaign on a high with a convincing victory on home soil.

It would be the perfect chance for Mofokeng to shine and keep attracting attention abroad.
