A former Bafana Bafana goalkeeper has given his thoughts on Itumeleng Khune preferring to go into a different space rather than coaching, revealing that he feels the Kaizer Chiefs legend should be using his expertise to blood tomorrow's stars.

After revealing that he is a shareholder and owner at Top Bet last week, Khune revealed that he has not really had an interest in going into coaching, even though he attended a goalkeeping coach course before leaving Naturena.

Khune has, instead, decided to get into the business side of things and only time will tell if he will ever get into the space of working as a coach.

Former Bafana goalkeeper John Tlale feels that Khune's expertise could come in handy for the up and coming youngsters, which is why he should probably reconsider his decision not to go into coaching.

"If you look at Chiefs, they are struggling and make the same mistakes. He is someone who could play a role at the club. It's a great loss to football. As a coach, he would have added a lot. He played for a long time and gained a lot of experience. Losing him like that is a great loss, but we don't see things the same," Tlale said to the Siya crew.

"We don't have as many goalkeepers as we used to. We struggle when it comes to goalkeepers and Khune would have been able to help in nurturing the talent of tomorrow."
