The story
Bafana Bafana striker, Evidence Makgopa helped Orlando Pirates to maintain their early season dominance in the Betway Premiership, following a spirited 1-0 win against Richards Bay FC at the Orlando Stadium on Tuesday night.
Makgopa's 26th minute winner saw the Soweto giants claim their seventh consecutive win in the league this season and, in turn, maintain their position at the top of the table.
The lanky forward now sits at the top of the Betway Premiership top goal scorers list, with six goals in all competitions making the Buccaneers' top scorer but some distance.
Makgopa is winning over the love of the fans who initially doubted his playing abilities and his spirited celebrations slowly seeing him become a fan favourite among the Happy People.
