CAF have confirmed a big decision from Patrice Motsepe ahead of the Presidential Elections next year.
Motsepe began his four-year term in 2021 after winning the election, replacing Malagasy-born Ahmad Ahmad.
With the elections coming up next year, the African football body has confirmed Motsepe will once again stand a candidate.

"Following requests from numerous CAF Member Association Presidents, Zonal Union Presidents and key stakeholders, the CAF President, Dr Patrice Motsepe has finally agreed to stand as a candidate at the CAF Presidential Elections scheduled for March 2025," the statement read.
Motsepe was elected unopposed in 2021 and became the seventh to occupy the presidency, with his current term set to end in 2025.
West African Football Union president Kurt Okraku recently praised the work Motsepe has done since becoming president.
"We thank President Motsepe for the enormous work he has done since he took over as the President of CAF," Okraku told the CAF website.
"We have seen the progress, the progress of his vision. As an MA President, we understand the pain of finding even 1 USD. Funding under President Motsepe's leadership has increased. If you go to our countries, football development activities are happening. And that is no co-incidence. We also thank President Motsepe for his visits to Heads of States in Africa – and engage them."
