The story
According to reports in the UK, rapper A$AP Rocky is interested in purchasing a stake in EFL League Two club, Tranmere Rovers, joining the recent trend of US entertainers and athletes investing in English football.
Currently sitting 16th in England's fourth tier, Tranmere Rovers are yet to win a major trophy or compete in the English Premier League.
Rocky is part of an investment group led by US celebrity lawyer Joe Tacopina, which is pursuing an 80% stake in the club for £15 million (R341 million).
Tranmere is currently owned by former English FA chief executive Mark Palios, who acquired a controlling stake at the club in 2014.

Reports from the UK's Daily Sun and BBC, suggest that a documentary about Tranmere Rovers could be produced if the takeover is successful.
The rapper is reportedly "committed" to the bid and plans to visit Prenton Park to attend a match, potentially accompanied by his superstar girlfriend and billionaire owner of Fenty, Rihanna.
Tranmere is actively seeking external investment to help fund plans for a new stadium, with Palios indicating in January that additional funds would be necessary to advance these initiatives.
