The qualification phase for the continental showpiece that will be held in north Africa has been progressing rapidly and is now nearing its conclusion.

The 35th edition of the tournament will take place at the home of the Atlas Lions, meaning the inclusion of Walid Regragui's side in Group B of qualification is a mere formality.

Nevertheless, the 2022 FIFA World Cup semi-finalists have made light work of their opponents in these qualifiers, maintaining a 100% record against their opponents, only conceding one goal and scoring 14 times in the four matches they have played so far.

Three other sides have also managed to win all four of their qualifiers thus far, namely Algeria, Angola, DR Congo and Egypt.

They all have 12 points in their respective qualification groups and, following the latest international break, have successfully qualified for the competition set to be held between 21 December 2025 and 18 January 2026.

Three other west African sides have also managed to book their ticket to Morocco over this past week. In Group L, Burkina Faso's victories over Burundi have ensured they will go to a third successive AFCON, while Senegal also beat Malawi twice to guarantee qualification alongside the Stallions.
