The rise of Barcelona and Spain's teenage sensation has been nothing short of spectacular.

At just 17 years old, the prodigious talent has become the heartbeat of both his club and national team, boosting his market value to a staggering €150 million (R2.8 billion), according to Transfermarkt.

In an exciting development for the young star, the Spanish national team has confirmed that he will don the iconic No. 10 shirt over this international break, in which Spain will take on Denmark and Serbia in the UEFA Nations League.

Initially, there were whispers the starlet would be taking the No. 10 shirt at Barcelona this season, but he opted for the No. 19, allowing Ansu Fati to retain the prestigious number.

Now, the La Masia gem is ready to shine in the famous No. 10 jersey for La Furia Roja, a testimony to his ascent in international football.

Manager Luis de la Fuente clearly sees Lamine Yamal as an indispensable part of the national set-up, and his performances have undoubtedly earned him this honour, even if it's just for the upcoming fixtures.
