The pair are undoubtedly some of the greatest players to have ever graced the English top flight.

The Belgian spent seven extraordinary years with Chelsea, while the Egyptian continues to cement his legend with Liverpool.

While they are all-time greats of the game, Hazard had no problem ranking his former teammate above himself when asked by SportBible who the better wide player was.

"Mo Salah, by far," Real Madrid's record transfer said.

The pair played together briefly at Stamford Bridge after the two-time CAF Men's Player of the Year signed for the Blues in 2014.

Unlike Hazard, however, Salah struggled to assert himself in the team and was eventually loaned out to Fiorentina, before leaving west London permanently for AS Roma.

Salah would go on to leave the Stadio Olimpico for the Merseysiders in 2017, and has gone on to reach world-class status since.

Hazard was also asked if the north African was always as good as he is today, and the now-retired 33-year-old responded: "He was good already, you know, but that good? We played [against him] when he was playing in Basel. So we played Champions League the year before and then we were like, 'Wow'.

"And then we bought him like, 'Yeah, we have to. We have to buy this guy because this guy is so good.'

"And then, you know, in football you have ups and downs, and then what he did with Liverpool is like, 'Wow'."
